It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the tragic and unexpected passing of our CEO and owner, Greg Stahl, who passed suddenly this past weekend at the age of 52.

Greg was more than a leader—he was a beloved husband, brother, son, mentor, friend, and a cornerstone of the Canadian trucking industry. His passion for trucks began in childhood, working alongside his father, and continued through a remarkable career that touched every part of the industry. From turning wrenches on the shop floor to building one of Western Canada’s most respected heavy truck dealership networks, Greg led with humility, integrity, and an unwavering belief in people.

For the past 16 years, Greg poured his heart into New West Truck Centres—not just building a business, but shaping a team, a culture, and a shared sense of purpose. His energy, compassion, and commitment to our core values—Professionalism, Responsiveness, Integrity, Dedication, and Energy—have left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of working with him.

We know this loss is felt deeply across our industry and community. Greg touched countless lives through his generosity, leadership, and belief in doing the right thing—always.

And while this is not business as usual, our business continues. Greg built a strong, values-driven leadership team and a resilient culture that will guide us forward. Across all 10 locations, our doors remain open, our team remains united, and our commitment to our customers, partners, and people remains unwavering.
